What happens

Much more than testing your vision

There are numerous methods to test that your eyes are working correctly, and our opticians select the tests most appropriate for you.

We start with a brief history of your vision and general health, your family's health and your work and lifestyle, so we can find the best solutions for you. Any problems you are experiencing with your vision are investigated and appropriate advice given.

The health of your eyes is thoroughly examined, and many medical conditions can be detected.

Your eye health

Many medical conditions show first in the eye, including:

  • Diabetes

  • Glaucoma

  • High cholesterol

  • High blood pressure

If you need glasses

Different options are discussed before you see one of our dispensing assistants, who will give you full advice on the best type of lens for your needs and the most suitable frames.

Considering contact lenses?

Contact lenses may also be discussed at this point, to cover any roles in your life, work or sports. A contact lens trial can be arranged once the results of your eye exam are known.
