Is my eye test free?
Yes. NHS Scotland now provide eye examinations for all UK residents, so your routine eye test with us is free. Simply request an appointment or call us on 01383 416683.
How often should I have my eyes tested?
We recommend an eye test every 2 years, or more frequently if your optician recommends it.
How long does an eye examination take?
Typically 20 to 30 minutes. It covers much more than your vision: the health of your eyes is thoroughly examined too.
Are glasses free on the NHS?
Glasses are completely free to eligible NHS patients. For private patients, our complete spectacles start from just £69.
Can I bring a prescription from another optician?
Of course. We welcome prescriptions from other opticians, and we can even reglaze your own frames with your new prescription.
Is there parking, and can I get in with a wheelchair?
There are two free council car parks on Aberlour Street and Queensferry Road, only 25 yards from our door. Those requiring disabled access can be dropped directly at the door, and we can accommodate all wheelchair types and sizes.
